Mind-mapping
Page Summary
This activity includes inviting the children / young people to create a mind map on a particular theme to show their ideas and suggestions.
You Will Require
- Large sheets of paper or a roll of lining paper
- Pens and pencils
What To Do
In small groups or pairs invite the children / young people to create a mind map on a particular theme to show their ideas and suggestions.
The theme could be on:
- Church
- Worship or planning worship
- Youth / children's group
- How they learn about God and faith
- Mission and outreach
- Planning a youth / children’s group programme
Encourage them to start by being as wide thinking and creative as possible and explain that they can use pictures and words.
Allow them plenty of time to do this. Invite each group / pair to feedback to the whole group and invite questions.
If possible, record their comments and responses which can then be fed back to the PCC and other stakeholders.
