Page Summary
This activity includes giving groups a certain amount of time to write as many comments down on their sheet that relate to the question at the top, moving the sheet on to the next group once the time has finished.
You Will Require
- Flip chart or paper with a question written at the top
- Coloured felt-tip pens
- Egg timer
What To Do
Divide the group into smaller groups or pairs. Give each group a coloured pen and a piece of paper with a subject or question at the top.
Give the groups the length of the egg timer to write as many comments down on their sheet that relate to the question at the top. Next move the sheet on to the next group in turn. Continue until all groups have had their say on each question.
Then start again, but this time each group must agree on their three favourite comments by putting ticks next to them.
This should give an indicator of what the children / young people think of the group and some suggestions of what might improve things. You might want to highlight or prioritise any common threads that the groups agrees on. You can also discuss how they might want to implement any actions.
Display the final sheets. Allow time to discuss the results and to explain their thinking. Pick out key points to share with the PCC or other stakeholders.
