Use decision making games and activities

Decision making games and activities are possibly the most effective way of consulting with children and young people of any age. They are fun, creative and interactive and you can use small rooms or large halls. They don’t need much preparation other than gathering a few things and they can be very cost effective. Decision making games and activities can form a whole session or part of a session. You can also take two or three different activities and use them in the same session to maintain their interest. As with any method of decision making, it is important that adults don’t interfere too much. They are there to facilitate not dictate. On the G4G website there is a section with 30+ decision making games and activities to have fun with and try out.
