Have an open meeting
Listening through an open meeting
An open meeting can provide a way of hearing a range of views about a particular issue or task.
Choose a Chair who will be able to facilitate everyone having their say.
However, open meetings are often unpredictable, challenging and harder to manage. You may need an experienced chair to facilitate an open meeting, especially if you are hoping to gain the views of many and not just of a few individuals. Open meetings work better when they are time limited, 60 – 90 minutes is long enough.
